What is Ranger’s Devo Travel Team:

RDT serves as a specialized branch of the Rangers youth cycling program, managed by our local non-profit, MTCX. This travel-focused team is tailored for older athletes eager to test themselves at competitive regional races, covering mountain biking and gravel in the spring and summer, and cyclocross throughout the fall.

Athletes on the RDT team benefit from several weekly team practices, comprehensive race-day support at scheduled events, and the option for customized training plans and coaching guidance.

Our mission remains centered on fun, sportsmanship, competition, adventure and fostering self confidence through bike racing. Cycling and racing provide a unique path toward deep friendships, mental well-being, fitness, and self-assurance—values we are excited to share with every rider.  We’d like to be a competitive rider’s first race experience at a regional and national level.

What age is Rangers Devo for?

This specific program is designed for 8th-12th graders. While we generally feel this level of competitive focus is best suited for older riders, we are happy to consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

If your shredder is excited about riding three or more times a week and hitting the road for regional competition, this is likely a great fit. If you are unsure which path to take, just ask Shaun for some advice on the best placement for your racer.
